Results
An article in the Results section includes, for example, a description of an implementation, project, visit, or cooperation. The text is narrative or reporting, and the main focus is on the results obtained, but also the expertise, experience, and skills of the author(s) are an important part of the content. Be as concrete as possible.
You can use the following questions to help you write: What was the implementation like? Who was it aimed at? Why was it necessary? What did you learn? What would you do differently next time? What was particularly successful? What next?
Use appropriate references when necessary.
Your article can be for general (publication type E) or professional (publication type D) audiences.
The length of the text is at least 3,000 characters (including spaces).
Perspectives
In the Perspectives section, we publish articles that are reflective expert reviews on a topical issue. The text should be based on relevant and up-to-date sources.
You can use the following questions to help you write: Why is the topic important to address now? What new perspectives or ideas do you bring to the discussion? What are the reasons why your point of view is credible and valid? What changes do you hope your article will inspire in readers or society?
In this section, we also publish lectio praecursoria.
Your article can be for general (publication type E) or professional (publication type D) audiences.
The length of the text is at least 3,000 characters (including spaces).
Book reviews
Preferably, the book review should be about a book published this year or the previous year, suitable for professional use, and thoroughly examined by the reviewer. The review should be about a book that provokes thought; just okay is not a good outcome for the book review.
You can use the following questions to help you write: In what role did you read the book? What did it offer you professionally? Did you agree or disagree with the content? Does the book's content reflect what is generally thought and known in the field? Would you recommend the book to your colleagues?
Typically, a book review includes the following elements:
- Introduction
- What book is being reviewed? Who is the author, and when was it published? What field does the book represent? What is the author's relationship to the subject?
- General description
- What is the main argument of the book? From what perspective is the book written? What phenomena in its field does the book connect to, does it fill a gap? Who is the target audience for the book?
- Detailed description and review
- What topics are covered in the book? Do not summarize the content. What thoughts did the book evoke in you as an expert? What did you realize thanks to the book? What in the book is worthy of praise? Did you miss something? Did something in the book bother you?
- What was your reading experience like? Was the book easy or difficult to read? Is it available as an audiobook?
- Teacher, have you already used the book in your teaching? How do you use or could you use it? What value would the book have for students?
You can spice up the text with one or at most two interesting quotes from the book. They enliven the text and give the reader a small sample of the book's content and style.
Your article is professional (publication type D).
The length of the text is at least 4,000 characters (including spaces).
